Welcome to the demo page for the Adaptivia WordPress theme!
Adaptivia is an adaptive theme which is built off of Automattic’s Toolbox Theme and the Less Framework 3. Using the power of these two great frameworks, Adaptivia provides bloggers with a theme that automatically adjusts its layout & structure based on the viewer’s browser width.
Go ahead and try it out! Resize your browser’s width, or view this site on a mobile device. The widths of page elements such as content areas, sidebars, and images should resize along with it if your viewing this page in a browser with support for CSS3 media queries — if not, not to worry because older browsers are still served a perfectly usable version of the site (the layout just won’t resize for them, that’s all).
The Adaptivia theme has some other cool features as well:
- Custom Header Image: Site Admins can upload a 1036 × 230 pixels images which will resize along with the layout to accommodate different browser sizes.
- Choose from 5 different layouts: 2 Columns – Sidebar Right; 2 Columns – Sidebar Left; 1 Column; 3 Columns – Sidebars Left; and 3 Columns – Sidebars Right.
- Choose from 11 different color schemes: Including both Light and Dark page styles.
- HTML5 Semantic Markup: Because it was built on top of Automattic’s Toolbox HTML5 Starter Theme, Adaptivia has future-proof, semantic markup.
- 1 Custom Menu: Customize the top horizontal navigation with Adaptivia’s support for 1 Custom WordPress Menu.
- 2 Widget Areas.
Lastly, Adaptivia is free to use for anything you want — go ahead and hack it, build Child Themes on it, whatever you like. This theme is a great starter for someone who wants to get started making their own HTML5 theme using the robust Toolbox theme by Automattic, but also want the flexibility and adaptability of Joni Korpi’s Less Framework 3.
***Important: Just remember to leave the line in style.css that gives Joni Korpi credit for his fine work:
